MVUMI SECONDARY SCHOOL AND SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND

In 2006 I became involved in the ‘Mvumi School Trust’ in Tanzania. Friends of Mvumi Secondary School were formed in 1999. The sole purpose of the charity us to provide funding and support for the teachers and students of DCT Mvumi Secondary School. This school is centred in the rural heartland of the central region of Tanzania.
The trust is largely responsible for funding the recent reconstruction of the school. I have visited the school on a number of occasions and provide continual funding.
My Son George worked at the School for 3 months. He will agree that the time spent was totally invaluable to his life development. Having spent time with the children, George was humbled when one of the pupils remarked “I’m happy because we have food and water to drink”
